The form of this new tower proposed for Park Avenue responds in a novel waysto the famous NYC zoning “wedding cake” envelope with swooping petals rather than stacked tiers allowing sunlight to reach to the ground level.
Feature amenity spaces at the petals also allow light inside the building via atria spaces. The side-core layout allows for efficient floor plates, allowing single or multiple tenants per floor or for multiple floors to be taken by a single tenant. Test fits for law offices, trading floors, and open plan offices all are optimized to the five-foot mullion grid of the unique façade. The warm bronze tone of the exterior can be seen as a nod to the nearby Seagram Building.
